Ross Mathews


Over the last 9 years, Ross Mathews has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the world with a sense of wit and charm that ignites laughter across the nation. Whether covering the Winter Olympic Games, Academy Awards, and movie premieres, Ross unique approach is always fresh, outrageous and fun. E Entertainment Television named Ross one of the 30 Most Outrageous Celebrities, solidifying his spot as one of the most exciting personalities on television today.

Born and raised in a small town of Mount Vernon, Washington, Ross from a young age that he wanted to be on television, specifically as a talk show host. After graduating high school, Ross moved to Southern California and attended the University of La Verne where he graduated with honors and a degree in Communications.

During Ross' senior year in college he interviewed for a position that would change his life. Ross interned at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the 1 rated late-night talk show in the nation at the time. On Ross' last day of internship he was called into the head writers office who informed him that they were aware of his dream and believed he had what it took to be on television. Ross left immediately with none other than George Clooney to the premiere of Ocean's Eleven, where he was assigned to interview celebrities as they walked down the red carpet. Ross went on to travel the world as a Tonight Show correspondent, interviewing everyone from Academy Award winners to British royalty. Ross quickly became a staple of late-night television and a favorite of the public.

Late-night television was just the beginning In addition to guest starring on NBC's 1 Vs.100 and Phenomenon, Ross also appeared as a guest co-host of ABC's The View. He was also a contestant on the fifth season of VH1s highly popular Celebrity Fit Club. In addition Ross had a recurring role as "Chris" on Days of Our Lives. On top of it all, Ross was a co-host of The Game Show Network's Big Saturday Night, and is renowned as a correspondent for various award shows with E's Live From the Red Carpet and a celebrity correspondent for entertainment news programs Extra and CBS's The Insider.

In 2009-2010, Ross hosted and executive produced a daily web talk show for The Insider and CBS.com called Inside Dish with Ross Mathews, a show about covering Hollywood from the outside in. Inside Dish eventually became the official web shows of CBS hits Big Brother and the Emmy winning The Amazing Race.

Most recently, Ross was featured on OWN's Ask Oprah's All-Stars, played himself on ABC Family's Christmas Cupid and guest-staring on After Lately on E Currently, Ross continues his Tonight Show correspondent duties as well as Creative Consultant" for the show. He is also a weekly regular panelist on E's hit late-night talk show, Chelsea Lately .

Not only is Ross a hit in front of the cameras, but behind the cameras as well. It was recently announced that Ross will co-star and produce a pilot for E with Chelsea Handler's production company, Borderline Amazing, alongside fellow Chelsea Lately roundtable regular, Heather McDonald. Mathews has also added began touring colleges speaking about his experiences climbing the Hollywood ladder and discussing his humorous take on pop culture.

In March 2011, it was announced that Ross is the newest spokesperson for Jenny Craig, having already shed 25 pounds in 12 weeks
